Palliative care

If you have a terminal illness or you are providing palliative care for a loved one at home, support is at hand through the district nursing service. Kooweerup Regional Health Service also has a Palliative Care Nurse Specialist who is able to support you and the district nurses.

Our palliative care nurses are trained to help maintain quality of life, manage pain and other symptoms, and provide emotional support.

Your nurse will work in partnership with Kooweerup Regional Health Service Palliative Care Nurse Specialist and social worker and any other health professionals that are involved in any treatment, and will always act with your needs and beliefs in mind. Our goal is to help you deal with the many issues that arise during this difficult time in a sensitive and caring way.
