Hospital in the home

If you receive acute care in hospital, you may be able to return home for your recovery, while remaining an inpatient of the hospital.

Our district nurses can provide caring, qualified support during this time.

While this option is not possible for all patients – as some require a higher level of care during recovery – it is a great option for many. Research shows that patients recover faster and more successfully in a familiar home environment, with fewer complications such as infection, delirium or confusion.

If you qualify for this service, we will assign district nurses to support you on the road to recovery. You will remain under the care of your hospital doctor during this time, but our nurses will always be on hand to help.
