Killara Hostel provides private accommodation and quality care for singles or couples who continue to enjoy an independent lifestyle. Residents are encouraged to participate in a range of indoor and outdoor activities under the guidance of the Activities Supervisor.
The hostel has common areas and activity rooms as well as the gardens and walkways around the hostel where residents can mingle with friends and relax in the peaceful rural setting. The hostel has 2 dining areas where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. Our menu is prepared by a dietician to ensure a sound diet is provided with consideration for the special dietary, cultural and taste needs of the residents.
Killara Hostel has 26 Low Care general beds and 14 fully secure beds specifically for residents suffering from Dementia as well as two Respite beds (one is located in the Dementia unit).
All beds are located in spacious single rooms that include a full ensuite.
Residents and Relatives Meetings are held in the Hostel on a bi-monthy basis. For future dates, please download flyer here.
