The Quality Improvement Program Plan combines the requirements of the Aged Care Standards Agency (ACSA) and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). At Kooweerup we have a systematic and strategic approach to Quality which has been developed by management and staff, with input from the community we service.
The role of the Quality Coordinators is to stimulate, encourage and monitor wide spread improving performance throughout the facility. This Organisation has a commitment to the achievement of Accreditation through compliance with ACHS, ACSA and Home and Community Care Standards (HACC) at Kooweerup Regional Health Service. To assist the Service to achieve this there is a system in place to obtain input from management, staff, customers and all internal and external quality improvement activities to identify and act on stated needs.
Why we do this is to ensure:
-
A culture of improving performance is promoted across the healthcare and support services of the organisation.
-
Kooweerup Regional Health Service values and objectives are reflected in the Quality Improvement Program.
-
Staff quality performance is directed by the governing body, via managers and leaders to reach all customers.

-
