The Early Parenting Unit was established in 2004 to enhance existing services.
In the 2006-2007 Financial Year the Early Parenting Unit assisted 550 families through the Day Stay Program, an increase of 37% on the previous year.
An increase in birth rates and positive outcomes for families has ensured that the Unit continues to grow and develop.
In 2007 an innovative Ante-Natal Program was developed to address the identified needs of newly expecting parents and to compliment existing Birthing Programs offered by mainstream Maternity Hospitals.
