Volunteers

Our Volunteer Program continues to grow from strength to strength with 60 active volunteers. Trained volunteers provide companionship and support to residents throughout the facility.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life; anyone with a mature outlook on life who wishes to help others has the potential to make a difference. Initially we request a 12 month commitment to the facility from new volunteers.

Whatever time you can commit to helping others will be appreciated, it can be as little as 1 hour or as much as 10 hours per week including evenings and weekends.

We provide ongoing training and education in aged/disabled care. Kooweerup Regional Health Service is supported by a strong group of volunteers who assist with such tasks as gardening, arranging activities for Residential Care patients and assisting Administration.

If you have spare time and wish to become a volunteer please contact Cathy Bain – Volunteer coordinator or Marianne Thomas – Social Worker on (03) 5997 9691 during business hours for further information. We are always looking for more helping hands to assist our trained staff provide care for our patients.
