There has been a considerable change in health care in the home, with an increase in the number of clients receiving Hospital in the Home (H.I.T.H.) and Post Acute Care (P.A.C.). This is as a result in a change in emphasis on clients being discharged earlier from Hospital.
Palliative Care is another area of growth as increasing numbers of clients are electing to die at home with family and loved ones. With the early discharge of mothers and babies post natal visits have also increased. Our midwives have assisted 60 new young mums with a variety of home care support services.
