Kooweerup Regional Health Service is a Public Hospital situated in the rural sector of Cardinia Shire and approximately one hours drive from the C.B.D.
The Health Service is comprised of 72 beds and offers both Acute, Community and Residential Care. We have a strong community focus and offer an excellent career opportunity for the right candidates. NURSE UNIT MANAGER (.8 EFT) FOR OUR EARLY PARENTING UNIT
Position is part of a facility senior management and would suit an experienced Midwife/Maternal and Child Health Registered Nurse with an interest in post-natal/early childhood development.
Must have previous management experience and current knowledge/skills within field of practice.
Counselling and group work skills essential.
Must have current registration with Nurses Board Victoria, Working with Children Check and Police Check. We are currently in planning stage to expand unit to include an Overnight Program.

Important Information
The Medical Advisory Committee meets to verify a General Practitioners Qualifications and medical indemnity coverage when a General Practitioner applies for Clinical privileges at this Facility. Medical Advisory Committee is also responsible to ensure all General Practitioners remain credentialed.

In 2007 all staff underwent a police check in line with new Aged Care regulations.

Annual Performance appraisals for all staff.

Annual competencies for all Clinical Staff.
All Nursing, Medical and other Health Professionals must present their current practicing certificate to ensure they meet registration requirements.
For all Nursing Staff, they must present current practising certificate annually. The General Public are able to access the Public Register at http://nbv.com.au and check the status of any Registered Nurse. |
