Community health and wellbeing

Gambling is a real issue in our local community. We strive to help those at risk of problem gambling through a range of support programs.

Kooweerup Regional Health Service partners with enliven to address issues such as social isolation and exclusion, two known risk factors for problem gambling. Our goal is to create socially inclusive and welcoming environments where people feel valued and can participate more.

Our Men’s Shed and Community Garden are two ways that we help people get more involved, so they are less likely to fall into the gambling trap.
